A Cliché at Casa Key

A 1-Minute Whimsy

(Pixabay)

There are certain legends that are legendary for being legends… where people wonder if they ever really happened. The key party seems to be one of these.

The key party was supposedly a 1970’s phenomenon, the ultimate grab-bag event. Couples would deposit their car keys into a bowl, and after the chaste cocktail hour, dinner event, or other social gathering was over, the women would grab an unknown keychain from the bowl… and proceed home with their new random partner for all-night sex.

I’m not saying they did happen, and I’m not saying they didn’t, although statistically I imagine they did happen, somewhere, and are not just an urban legend. They have become cliché, though, among vanilla types of a certain age who believe swinging and hedonism began and ended with key parties! (So unimaginative of them!)

So, as someone who once reached orgasm on I-75, at mile-marker 75, while doing 75 miles per hour, the intrigue of having rented a property in the Florida Keys named Casa Key lead me to think…

Hey! We need a Key Party, at Casa Key, in the Florida Keys!

Story Notes:

I just wanted something comedic and whimsical today, and a thought wandered into my head. But maybe this should happen!

These are works of fiction. Names, characters, locations, awkward situations, and incidents portrayed are fictitious. Any resemblance to actual events, locales, products, services, businesses, and persons (living or dead) is entirely coincidental, and likely a vivid by-product of the author’s imagination.
